DLC began in 1963
as De La Cruz Products by Paul Cruz, a pharmacist of
Mexican extraction. Paul was employed in pharmacies in
the Spanish-speaking areas of Los Angeles in the late 50's
and early 60's. He developed an OTC liniment with
bilingual labeling and a few other products, which he sold to pharmacies and
markets in Los Angeles. He added more items and began to
sell his products to stores that catered to migrant farm
workers in the San Joaquin Valley and the Bay area. Paul
used to load his products onto a VW bus and sell and
deliver the products directly to retailers. He advertised
on radio stations throughout his sales area. The present
management purchased the company in 1976, and DLC (De La
Cruz) has
evolved and grown considerably since that time.
For
the 45-year plus history of DLC Laboratories, Inc., the company
has conducted its business according to the highest legal,
business and ethical standards. Through its practices, DLC has always demonstrated to its stakeholders,
